Thursday, 3/12/2020 6-8pm. Room A211 – across from the MCC Library. Parents of high school aged students in our district are welcome to attend this evening of discussion about college readiness topics including: College research strategies, College application tips, MCC High Impact Scholarships and other scholarships, Overview of FAFSA and financial aid options . Sessions will be held separately in Spanish and English, simultaneously. You are registering for the English session. Session details: This evening's topics are mirrored off of the topics covered in the College Readiness Workshop Series for high school students. Parents attending this session are not required to have their child attend the previous College Readiness Sessions (although it is highly recommended students also register for the College Readiness Workshops). Additionally, time will be dedicated for parents to ask questions and get answers from MCC staff regarding college. The topics of this evening are not specific to MCC, but to the college readiness process in general, although MCC examples may be used. Parents of high school students grades 9-12 are welcome to attend this free workshop. Students are also welcome to join their parents, but the information will be tailored to a parent audience.
